(3) Reading of bible quotations to be preached

A sign was fastened above him with these words, this is the King of the Jews. The Criminal hanging beside his left hand side scoffed, “so you are the Messiah, are you? Prove it by saving yourself and us too while you’re at it! But the other criminal vigorously protested, “don`t you even fear God even when you have been sentence to die? We deserve to die for our crimes but he hasn’t done anything wrong. Then he said, “Jesus, remember me in your kingdom, and Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise!” The light from the sun was gone, and suddenly the curtains in the sanctuary was torn down to the middle, then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my Spirit into your hands!”* And with those words he breath his last by kicking the bucket, hmmm! O yes!! he died!!!”. When the Roman officers overseeing the execution saw what had happened, they worshiped God and said, “surely Jesus was innocent and truly the Son of God.” And when all the crowd that came to see the crucifixion saw what had happened, they went home in deep sorrow with tears profusely and interminably streaming down from their faces. LUKE 23 : 38– 48

Saturday evening, when the Sabbath ended, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salome went out and purchased burial spices so they could anoint Jesus dead body. Very early on Saturday  morning, just as sunrises, they went to the tomb. Rhetorically, they fabled, asking who will roll away the stones from the entrance of the tomb? But as they arrived at the tomb, they saw the stone which was very large and impregnable has already been rolled away. Then, surprisingly they saw an angel in pure white cloth sitting at the right side of the tomb whilst they were very dumbfounded and perplexed . But the angel asked them why are you looking for the living among the dead? You are looking for Jesus Christ of Nazareth who was crucified. He isn’t here! He has risen from the dead, look this is where His body has been buried. Go and tell His disciples including Peter that Jesus is going to Galilee ahead of everyone as He promised! MARK 16 : 1 - 7

Mary was standing outside the tomb crying, and as she wept, she stopped and looked in the tomb, she saw two white- robbed angels, one sitting at the head and the other at the foot of the place where the body of Jesus had been lying. “Dear woman, why are you crying?” the angel asked her, because they have taken away my Lord, she replied, but I don’t know where they have put him, she turned to leave and saw someone standing there. It was Jesus but she didn’t recognize him. “Dear woman, why are you crying?” Jesus asked her. Who are you looking for? She thought he was the gardener,. Sir, she said, if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him and I will go and get him. “Mary!” Jesus said. She turned to him and cried out, “Rabboni!” (which means Teacher in Hebrew language ). Don’t cling to me, I have not yet ascended to my Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God” JOHN 20 : 11 – 17

You have stayed with me in my time of trials, so just as My Father granted me a Royal Kingdom , I now use my authority and have granted you the right to come to My Royal house or Kingdom to eat and drink at my table and sit on thrones to judge the twelve tribes of Israel. LUKE 22:28-30

Haven’t finished with His words he went straight to sit on His Holly Throne at the powerful right hand side of God! Mark 16:19

 He humble himself in obedience to God and died criminal`s death on the cross , therefore , God elevated him to the place of highest honour and gave him the name above any other names. That at name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven, on earth and under the earth and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is Lord to the glory of God his father                  PHILIPPINES 2 : 8 – 11.

For the Lord declare, I have placed my chosen king on the throne in Jerusalem, * on my holly mountain. The KING proclaims the Lord`s decree, the Lord said to me , YOU are MY SON, to day I have become Your Father , only ask and I will give the nations as your inheritance , the whole earth as your possession . You will break them with an iron rod and smash them like clay pots! Now then, you kings on earth, act wisely! Be warned, you rulers of the earth! Serve the Lord with reverent fear and rejoice in the Lord with trembling. Submit to God`s royal son* or He will become angry, and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your activities, for his anger flares up instant. But what joy for all who take refuge in Him. PSALM 2 : 6 – 12

You are the most handsome of all, gracious words streams from your lips. God himself has blessed you forever. Put on your sword, O mighty warrior! You are so glorious, so Majestic!! In your majesty, ride out to victory, defending the truth, humility and justice, go fourth to perform awe-inspiring deeds! Your arrows are sharp, piercing your enemies hearts. The nations fall beneath your feet.Your throne, O God, * endures forever and ever, you rule with sceptre of justice. You love justice and hate evil, therefore God your Father has now anointed you, pouring oil of joy on you more than anyone else . Myrrh, aloes and cassia perfume your robes, in ivory palace the music of strings entertains You!      PSALM 45 : 6 - 8

Here is the main point: We have a high priest( Jesus) who sat down in the place of honour beside the throne of majestic God in heaven. There he ministers in the heavenly Tabernacle,* the true place of worship that was built by the Lord and not by human hands. HEBREWS 8 : 1 –2

“ I Jesus , have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. *”I am the bright morning star”* AMEN and AMEN. REVELATION 22 : 16
